03 Hair Removal
Is the treatment painful?
Our hair removal uses gentle IPL-based technology with a controlled level of heat that targets the hair root without harming the surrounding skin.
Most customers describe the sensation as a mild warmth or quick snap, which is very tolerable even for Brazilian and underarm areas. If you have sensitive skin, our therapists can adjust the intensity to ensure comfort.
Do I need to shave before my appointment?
Yes, please shave the treatment area 24 hours before your visit.
Shaving ensures the light energy reaches the hair follicles directly, making the session more effective and more comfortable. Avoid waxing, plucking, or epilating at least 2–3 weeks before the treatment, as these remove the hair root needed for results.
How many sessions will I need to see results?
Most customers notice:
- Smoother skin after 1–2 sessions
- Visible reduction in hair growth after 4–6 sessions
- Longer-lasting results with consistent visits every 4–6 weeks
Results depend on hair thickness, growth cycle, hormones, and how regularly you return for treatment.
How long must I wait between sessions?
We recommend spacing your hair removal sessions every 4–6 weeks.
This timing aligns with your natural hair growth cycle, ensuring the treatment targets the hair root at its active growth stage.
Coming too early or too late may reduce the effectiveness, so maintaining a regular schedule supports faster and more consistent results.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. Our Korean E-Light Diode Technology is made to be gentle yet effective, even for skin that is easily irritated. Before every session, our therapist conducts a skin assessment and adjusts the energy level accordingly.
If you have eczema, active irritation , or open wounds on the area, we may advise postponing until the skin recovers.
What should I avoid after hair removal?
For the next 24 hours, please avoid:
- Hot showers or saunas
- Sun exposure or swimming
- Gym workouts or heavy sweating
- Applying deodorant or harsh products on the area
These activities may irritate your skin while it is still sensitive. Keep the area clean and moisturised for the best comfort.
Can teenagers do hair removal at Smoovee?
Yes, teenagers are welcome and our treatment is safe for young, sensitive skin.
For customers below 18 years old, a parent or guardian must give consent before the session.
Our therapists will also assess the skin condition before proceeding to ensure the treatment is suitable and comfortable for teens experiencing hormonal hair growth.
Can I do hair removal if I have eczema or active acne on the area?
It depends on the severity.
- If the area has active eczema flare-ups, broken skin, or open wounds, we recommend postponing until the skin has calmed down.
- If you have mild dryness or healed eczema patches, treatment may still be possible with adjusted settings.
- For areas with active acne, we avoid direct treatment on inflamed bumps to prevent irritation.
Your therapist will check the area before every session to ensure safety and comfort.
Will the hair grow back thicker or darker?
No, it will not. Our technology works by targeting the hair root to slow down and reduce future growth.
Over time, hair typically grows back:
- Finer
- Lighter
- More sparse
- At a slower rate
This is the opposite of shaving or waxing, which may sometimes make hair appear thicker due to blunt ends. With regular sessions, you’ll experience long-term reduction and softer regrowth.
04 Whitening
What results can I expect?
Our brightening treatment targets dullness, uneven tone, and dark spots.
You can expect:
- A fresher glow after one session
- Brighter, more even skin tone with consistent visits
- Gradual improvement of mild pigmentation and sun spots
Individual results vary based on lifestyle and sun exposure.
How many sessions are recommended?
Most customers see noticeable improvement after 3–5 sessions, done regularly. If you have deeper pigmentation, more consistent sessions may be needed.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
Yes. The treatment uses non-irritating energy levels and hydrating formulas that are safe for sensitive skin types. If your skin is prone to redness, our therapists will adjust the intensity to ensure comfort.
Can it lighten pigmentation?
It helps reduce mild pigmentation, such as:
- Sun spots
- Uneven tone
- Post-acne marks
However, deeper or long-standing pigmentation may require a longer treatment plan.
Any aftercare needed?
Avoid direct sun exposure for 24 hours, and apply sunscreen daily. Proper UV protection helps maintain brightening results and prevents new pigmentation.
05 Skin Renewal Care
What does this treatment do?
Our skin renewal treatment boosts hydration, improves texture, revives dull skin, and gives you a healthy-looking glow. It’s ideal for those with rough texture, enlarged pores, dryness, or tired skin.
Do I need to shave before my appointment?
No. This is a gentle, non-invasive treatment with no peeling or recovery time needed. You can return to work or school immediately after.
Does it help with pores and uneven texture?
Yes. The treatment helps:
- Smoothen rough texture
- Minimise the appearance of pores
- Improve radiance and clarity
Many customers notice a difference after the first session.
Is it suitable for all skin types?
Yes. It is formulated to be safe, hydrating, and suitable even for sensitive or dry skin. Your therapist will adjust the treatment to your skin’s condition on that day.
How long will the glow last?
You’ll enjoy fresh-looking skin for 1–2 weeks, depending on lifestyle, stress levels, and your skincare routine. Regular sessions maintain results more effectively.
06 Eye Rejuvenation
Can it help with dark circles?
Yes. The treatment helps brighten the under-eye area by improving microcirculation, hydration, and skin density, which makes dark circles appear lighter over time.
Does it reduce puffiness or eye bags?
The cooling and firming effects help:
- De-puff tired eyes
- Refresh the under-eye area
- Improve mild eye bag appearance
Consistent sessions provide longer-lasting results.
Is it safe for the delicate eye area?
Absolutely. The treatment uses low-intensity, targeted energy and gentle movements specifically designed for the eye contour area. It is suitable even for customers with sensitive eyes.
Is there any downtime?
No downtime at all. You can continue wearing contact lenses, return to work, or go out immediately after the session.
How often should I come for the best results?
For maintenance, most customers return every 1–2 weeks. If you have severe dark circles or puffiness, weekly sessions provide more consistent improvements.
07 Acne Zero
Will it help active acne?
Yes. Our acne treatment is designed to:
- Calm red, inflamed pimples
- Reduce excess oil production
- Purify and tighten pores
- Support faster healing of new breakouts
It is suitable for mild to moderate acne. For severe or cystic acne, we recommend seeking medical treatment from a doctor or dermatologist for proper care.
Is the treatment painful?
No. Acne Zero is designed to be a no-pain, gentle treatment, even for inflamed or sensitive skin.
Most customers only feel:
- A light, soothing warmth
- Very mild tingling
- No sharp or uncomfortable sensation
If your skin is extra sensitive, our therapists will adjust the settings to keep the session completely comfortable.
How soon will I see improvement?
Most customers notice:
- Less redness after 1–2 sessions
- Reduced oiliness and fewer new breakouts after 2–4 sessions
- Clearer, smoother skin with consistent visits
Everyone’s skin is different, but regular maintenance provides the most stable results.
Is it suitable for teens?
Yes. Our treatment is gentle and suitable for teenage skin experiencing hormonal acne. For teens under 18, a parent or guardian’s consent is required before treatment.
Does it cause peeling or downtime?
No. The treatment is non-invasive and does not cause skin peeling. You may experience mild redness due to stimulation, but this usually settles within 15–30 minutes.
Can I wear makeup after the treatment?
We recommend avoiding makeup for at least 24 hours. Allow your skin to breathe and absorb the treatment benefits fully before applying any cosmetic products.
Can pregnant women do acne treatment?
We do not recommend acne treatments during pregnancy due to increased skin sensitivity and hormonal changes.
Pregnant customers may experience unpredictable reactions, so we advise waiting until after delivery or consulting a doctor before proceeding with any acne-based treatments.
Can I do the treatment if I am on medication like isotretinoin?
If you are currently taking isotretinoin (e.g., Roaccutane) or other strong acne medication, we recommend waiting at least 6 months after completing your medication before undergoing Acne Zero.
These medications make the skin extremely sensitive, and treatments may cause irritation.
Please inform our therapist if you are on any oral or topical acne medication so we can advise safely.
Will the treatment help with acne marks and scars?
Acne Zero can help reduce the appearance of:
- Red or brown post-acne marks
- Surface-level uneven tone
- Mild texture irregularities
However, deeper indented scars (such as ice-pick, boxcar, or rolling scars) usually require longer-term or medical treatments.
Our treatment can improve overall clarity and smoothness, but for severe scarring, a dermatologist’s assessment is recommended.
Any aftercare I should follow?
For the next 24 hours, please avoid:
- Makeup
- Sun exposure or outdoor sports
- Hot showers, saunas, or sweating
- Scrubs, acids, or harsh skincare
Be gentle with your skin and keep it hydrated.
Use sunscreen daily to maintain results and prevent new marks.
Can I extract my pimples before coming?
We do not recommend extracting pimples before your treatment.
Freshly extracted skin can be:
- More sensitive
- Red or irritated
- Prone to discomfort during treatment
If extraction is needed, please let us know during your visit. We will treat the area around active inflammation safely.
